In addition, First and Second Place Winners receive free advertising at Kindle Book Promos – an average of 18,000 monthly visits, and our social media sites with more than 40,000 followers @penabook, @freebookpromos and https://www.facebook.com/ebookpromos.

Note: With the exception of an initial announcement, most of the publicity for winners will start October 2016 to take advantage of holiday shoppers. Once a winners’ list is officially released, updates will be posted throughout January 2017, so check the site often for the latest announcements.

Judging criteria:

Grand Prize Winner: We are looking for exceptional writing, especially the author’s ability to hold the reader’s interest as well as his/her ability to tell a story. The grand prize winning book will be an outstanding work with characters and a story that makes it shine above the rest. The overall presentation must be polished and professional. Two grand prize winners will be selected, one for fiction and one for non fiction.

First and Second Place: General excellence and the author’s story-telling technique will be considered. The writer must hold the reader’s interest and demonstrate the ability to develop plot and characters that connect with the reader.

The judging panel will choose two titles in each category that illustrate overall excellence. Honorable mentions will be chosen from a variety of categories to include general fiction, romance, adventure, historic, and mystery. All judges decisions are final.

  1. ENTRIES: An entry fee of $50 MUST accompany your submission. Titles can be entered in more than one category for an additional $25 per category. You can enter more than one title but a separate fee of $50 plus additional category entry fees will be charged. (For example, you enter one title in two categories that would be $50 for entry and $25 for the extra category entry. Or you enter two titles and each title is entered in its own category, that would equal $100 dollars.)
